A Hong Kong woman in her 30s, currently working in the administrative field, recalls a vivid memory from her fifth-grade summer. During that summer, she was playing at home with her brother, who was three years older. Not knowing his strength, her brother accidentally pushed her, causing her to lose balance and hit her head directly on the edge of a table, resulting in a severe injury with blood streaming down her face.

Fortunately, her mother was at home at the time and quickly rushed her to the hospital. After six stitches, the wound eventually healed, but it left a prominent scar on her face. As time passed, the scar gradually turned white, becoming an ever-present shadow in her life.

This White Scar has been with her for over 20 years. Initially, she didn’t mind it and even grew accustomed to its presence. However, since the scar is located on her cheekbone, even when she tries to cover it with longer side bangs, it is never fully concealed, making it almost impossible to hide completely.

To minimize the visibility of the White Scar, she often opted for darker foundation. However, by the afternoon, after a full day of work, the scar would still become noticeable unless she constantly reapplied makeup.

Six years ago, after losing weight and becoming more concerned about her appearance, she suddenly realized that if she had the opportunity to remove the scar, it could be a fresh start in life. She had tried fractional laser treatment in Hong Kong, but the results were far from what she had hoped.

Late last year, while searching on Facebook for “White Scar treatment,” she came across information about Dr Su-Ben Tsao and the International White Scar Center, along with many success stories. This rekindled her hope, and she decided to consult online. Through the consultation, she gained a deeper understanding of the techniques and effectiveness at the International White Scar Center. After learning that Dr Su-Ben Tsao is honored as the “Master of White Scar Treatment” in Taiwan, she decided to take extended leave this May and travel to Taiwan for a consultation and surgery.

On May 24th, she underwent both the consultation and surgery on the same day. Reflecting on the surgery, she mentioned how quickly the time passed—it felt like less than two hours. Throughout the process, the doctor meticulously explained each step, which gave her peace of mind. The doctor emphasized that the reason the scar appeared white was that the injury had damaged the dermal tissue, destroying the melanin. Through the “White Scar Color Regeneration” technique, a small piece of skin was taken from the back of her scalp, processed, and implanted into the White Scar. These micro-pigmented skin particles, containing melanocytes, would gradually restore the normal skin color within 3 to 6 months after the procedure.

After the surgery, she shared her feelings and expectations, saying that just imagining a future where the scar could disappear fills her with immense joy.
